The Owners Retreat is an annual event for MB2 Dental doctor partners to step away from their practices, reconnect with familiar faces, build new friendships, and simply enjoy being together.
This year’s retreat took us to San Diego, California for a weekend filled with incredible experiences, meaningful conversations, and memories that will stay with us long after returning home.

A Different Idea of Partnership
MB2 was built on a different idea of partnership: doctors retain their clinical identity and entrepreneurial spirit while gaining the resources and relationships of a larger organization.
For MB2 Founder and CEO Dr. V (Dr. Chris Steven Villanueva), creating opportunities for doctors to connect has always been central to that vision. At the Owners Retreat, he reflected on the shared commitment behind the MB2 community:

San Diego Highlights: Surf Club, Sailing and More
From the moment our partners arrived, the weekend was all about making the most of our time together.
We kicked things off with a welcome social that brought new introductions and long-awaited reunions, followed by an evening on the beach with MB2 Surf Club. With music from live DJs, fire pits, ocean views, and a comedy show from our very own Dr. Brady Smith, it was the perfect introduction to the weekend ahead.
The days that followed were filled with opportunities to explore, unwind, and enjoy San Diego. Whether doctors were cycling along the coast, spending time on the beach, sailing across the water, or catching up over conversations between activities, there was no shortage of ways to connect.
And while the activities were memorable, it was the people sharing those experiences who made them even better.

MB2 Flight Club Aboard the USS Midway
One of the most anticipated moments of the weekend was MB2 Flight Club, our Top Gun-inspired celebration aboard the historic USS Midway.
For Dr. V, bringing an event to the USS Midway had been a dream years in the making. Hosting it in San Diego, a city with personal significance to him, made the experience even more meaningful.
And what a night it was.
Our partners explored the legendary aircraft carrier, toured the ship, snapped photos alongside fighter jets, and danced to live 80s music. There was even a Maverick sighting, or at least someone who looked an awful lot like him!
With the San Diego skyline as the backdrop and hundreds of MB2 doctors enjoying the night together, MB2 Flight Club became an experience unlike any other.
It was the kind of evening nobody wanted to end, and one we’ll be talking about for years to come.

As our final evening in San Diego came to a close, everyone gathered for one last celebration together.
The night offered a chance to look back on favorite moments, enjoy the company of fellow partners, and hear a special send-off from Dr. V.
Looking around a room filled with so many of the doctors who make MB2 what it is today was a reminder of just how far this community has come and how much there is to look forward to.
