We are excited to welcome Dr. Stacy Ochoa, owner of Precision Dental Care in St. Louis, Missouri to the MB2 family. Dr. Ochoa is a passionate dentist who began her career as a dental hygienist and worked her way to being a dentist with her own practice. During her week-one integration with MB2, Dr. Ochoa provided one of the most moving testimonies we have seen to-date. We look forward to helping alleviate stress so that Dr. Ochoa can enjoy time with her family and relaxing.
Dr. Ochoa graduated in 2002 with distinction and honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, Dr. Ochoa graduated from the St. Louis Community College-Forest Park dental hygiene program in 1995 and attended the University of Missouri- St Louis for pre-med studies. Dr. Ochoa feels that her background in dental hygiene enriches her work as a dentist. Passionate about dental medicine, Dr. Ochoa had dreams of pursuing dentistry from a very young age. She actively pursues continuing education, incorporating the latest research and technologies into the treatment and care she provides in her practice.
As a Diplomate with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Ochoa is certified with special knowledge and training in dental sleep medicine.
Dr. Ochoa has been repeatedly awarded St. Louis’ Top Dentist status by St. Louis Magazine since 2008. She enjoys volunteering and giving back to the community with events like Give Kids a Smile, which she hosted in 2009.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Ochoa loves spending time with her husband and five beautiful children.

Q&A with Dr. Stacy Ochoa
How long have you been practicing dentistry?
25 years, including hygiene. I have owned my practice for 18 years.
What is your favorite aspect of dentistry?
I love the mixture of art and science. I love how we’re so integral to overall wellness.
Why was MB2 the right partner for you?
I was looking for support, relief, yet to still have my autonomy and be entrepreneurial.
What aspect of MB2’s model is most valuable to you as an owner?
That I have an entire GROUP of experts backing me up…and PARTNERED with me. I am not alone in the decision making anymore. I am not going to random people/forums or companies that don’t truly have my best interest at heart. This group of experts…they are also my partners!
What has been the most challenging part of the transition?
Learning to let go and let the systems work.
What has been the most surprising part of the transition?
I was surprised by how EASY it was.
How has your team handled the transition?
AMAZING. I was open and honest with my team from the get-go…I trusted them with knowing I was making the best decision for ALL of our futures.
What advice would you give to a fellow dentist looking to make a change?
Don’t play the “someday” game…”Once I do “blank” THEN I can make this change.” Be brave enough to make the change NOW. Your life is waiting for you.
What are your goals for yourself and your practice?
I have quite a few. I believe by letting go of the things holding me back/filling my day that are NOT dentistry…I will be able to really focus on my dentistry again. I took a GREAT implant course and plan on really building that department up as well as my Dental Sleep Medicine Practice. I see the production going through the roof when I am not running into my office between patients to do “Marketing/Admin/HR/IT/HIPPA/OSHA/Lease Negotiation….research”.
Personally: I am diving back into my life…reconnecting with my family/friends in a way that allows me to be fully present. I can’t wait for everyone to meet me…my real self…It has been a while, and my kids haven’t known me pre-ownership. I think they will like the new mom version.

Thank you…Thank you for being bold and brave enough to say the status quo is NOT acceptable. Thank you for keeping the integrity of Dentistry and the autonomy of the Dentist in the FAST changing field. I was looking for refuge…for a place that would throw me a life saver…and I found that in my new Dental Family.
