MB2 Dental proudly welcomes Dr. Howard Kang, Dr. Aimee Kim and Dr. Farid Shaikh, owners of Hawaii Endodontics, to the family!
Dr. Howard Kang attended a 7-year dual degree BS/DDS program at St. Johns University and Columbia University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then graduated at the top of his class from the University of Pennsylvania where he received his doctorate degree. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, he then completed an AEGD program with Lutheran Medical Center at Kokua Kalihi Valley community health center. From there Dr. Kang went on to receive his certificate of advanced graduate studies in Endodontics at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Aimee Kim grew up in Hawaii, attending McKinley High School and University of Hawaii. She completed her dental education and Endodontic specialty residency at University of Pennsylvania, where her research was published in the prestigious Journal of Endodontics. In Hawaii she’s been practicing Endodontics since 2006. She’s affiliated with the Hawaii Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontics. She is a mother of three children. In her free time, she enjoys time with her family, pilates exercise and traveling.
Dr. Farid Brian Shaikh graduated from The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine as Class President and Valedictorian. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency through The Lutheran Medical Center at Kokua Kalihi Valley Health Center in Honolulu, and completed Endodontic Specialty training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. He was inspired to become an Endodontist by his fascination with the complexity of the field, and the ability to relieve patients from pain. Dr. Shaikh passed rigorous multi-year written, oral and case report board examinations given by the American Board of Endodontics to become a Board-Certified Endodontist. He lectures nationally and has become known for several presentations, notably at The American Association of Endodontics Annual Conference in Boston Massachusetts, The Army, Air Force, Coast Guard and Navy Dental Symposium at Ford Island in Pearl Harbor, and The Lutheran Medical Center Endodontic Symposium in Honolulu. Dr. Shaikh also served as the President of the Honolulu County Dental Society.
